Logpresso, a Korean cloud SIEM(Security Information and Event Management) specialist startup, has secured $11 million (16 billion KRW) in Series B funding to accelerate its transition to an AI-powered next-generation security agent model.

Founded in 2013, Logpresso specializes in cloud-based SIEM and has built a strong market position by providing SecOps (security operations) platform technology across various industries including cybersecurity, IT operations management, and fraud detection systems. In 2023, the company launched “Logpresso Cloud,” converting its proven technology into a SaaS format, which has earned high trust from both enterprise and startup customers.
The Series B round included existing investor KB Investment along with several new investors who highly valued Logpresso’s technological competitiveness and global growth potential.
Junseok Lee, director at KB Investment, explained the rationale for follow-on investment: “Logpresso has the technological capability to lead the transition to AI-based security operations, and we highly appreciated their implementation of a security platform optimized for cloud environments. We expect this investment to accelerate AI-based innovation and rapidly prove competitiveness in the global market.”
Logpresso plans to focus the funding on key strategic initiatives including transitioning to AI-based next-generation security agents, expanding into global markets through SaaS, and pursuing XDR through M&A and strategic alliances.
Bongyeol Yang, CEO of Logpresso, emphasized the company’s vision: “Based on this investment, we plan to transition to an AI agent-based security model where artificial intelligence intervenes in all stages of security operations. We will integrate products proven in the domestic security market into a single XDR platform and design it around AI to automate the entire process from threat hunting to response, maximizing detection performance and security operation efficiency.”
With this funding, Logpresso will significantly expand its overseas market presence. Having already secured numerous SaaS customers domestically and validated its technological competitiveness, the company plans to focus on expanding global references starting with strengthening partnerships in Japan.
Dongeon Koo, head of the business division, noted: “The Japanese SIEM market is worth approximately $237 million (350 billion KRW) and growing at an annual average rate of 22%. We are preparing to quickly establish ourselves in the market based on product competitiveness optimized for global SaaS standards.”
Additionally, Logpresso will actively pursue collaboration and strategic M&A with companies offering technological synergies to expand its security domain and accelerate global business. The goal is to expand the product portfolio and strengthen global competitiveness.
Logpresso previously raised a total of $4.7 million (7 billion KRW) through seed investment in 2019 and Series A in 2023. Including this Series B round, the company’s cumulative funding totals $15.6 million (23 billion KRW).
