TeamKai, which builds and operates AI agents for customer service, has raised seed funding from Sparklabs and Murex Partners. The company didn’t disclose the amount.

The startup launched in 2024, founded by Doa Kim who spent a decade running customer service operations at Myrealtrip, one of Korea’s top travel platforms. As COO there, Kim handled some of the trickiest support scenarios in the business—managing everything from flight bookings to hotel reservations to tour packages.
What sets TeamKai apart is its comprehensive approach. The company doesn’t just provide AI agents—it handles everything from consulting on implementation to connecting directly with a client’s internal systems, and even offers full customer service outsourcing. The AI agents themselves can take on the complete range of tasks a human service rep would handle.
The company’s been growing fast. In just a year, it’s picked up clients across travel, e-commerce, and consumer goods, pushing annual recurring revenue close to $68,000 (100 million KRW).
Sparklabs was impressed by TeamKai’s technical chops—the AI agents complete over 60% of tasks without human intervention and practically never hallucinate (the rate’s converging toward zero). The firm thinks these numbers give TeamKai a real shot at competing globally. After Sparklabs came on board, it also helped TeamKai get accepted into TIPS, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ tech incubator program.
TeamKai plans to use the funding to push its technology further—improving how often the AI agents can successfully handle queries and bringing on more customers.
“TeamKai gets what’s actually broken in customer service—and they’re fixing it systematically,” said Yujin Kim, CEO of Sparklabs. “They can turn AI contact centers from cost drains into engines that improve both customer experience and efficiency.”
“AI is completely changing the economics of customer service outsourcing,” said CEO Doa Kim. “After ten years in this space, I’m focused on creating environments where AI can actually run the show—and where we take responsibility for the results.”
