Korean AI startup Searchdoc has raised a total of approximately $2.1 million (KRW 3 billion) in early-stage financing, combining a $750,000 (KRW 1 billion) seed round with $1.35 million (KRW 2 billion) secured through the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund‘s Innovative Startup Growth Support Program.

Founded in March 2025, Searchdoc has developed AI technology capable of analyzing massive documents and industrial drawings that conventional large language models (LLMs) struggle to handle. The founding team, composed of engineers from AWS, Naver, and Samsung, built a platform that enables precise search and analysis of large-scale documents and blueprints across industries including construction and EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), along with agent-based workflow automation. The company has already signed commercial contracts with major domestic players in the construction and IT sectors and is generating revenue.
Searchdoc plans to deploy the capital toward core AI R&D and product development, while simultaneously scaling its domestic presence and accelerating entry into international markets. The company intends to formally launch a full product version shaped by demand signals from large construction firms and public institutions.
“This funding is meaningful in that it validates both our technology and our business potential,” said Junsun Baek, CEO of Searchdoc. “We’ll use the proceeds to sharpen our competitive edge and push aggressively into global markets.”
