ALCHERA Raises $3.1M to Scale Physical AI Data Business

Korean AI company ALCHERA has closed a $3.1 million (KRW 4.5 billion) funding round to expand its physical AI data business.

The round was structured through a combination of common shares, convertible preferred shares, and convertible bonds, with a private investment trust managed by Tiger Asset Management Investment Advisory participating as a financial investor. All newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period from the listing date.

ALCHERA’s physical AI data business centers on producing the training data that enables machines — autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, and intelligent manufacturing equipment — to perceive and act in the real world. The company has already built a strong foundation in the autonomous driving segment, posting cumulative revenue of approximately $7.9 million (KRW 11.4 billion) over the past five years. More recently, ALCHERA joined a World Foundation Model technology development project as a data supplier, and plans to complete a dedicated data factory for high-value humanoid and manufacturing datasets by the end of June.

Proceeds from this round will be directed toward building a training data pipeline for physical AI models. ALCHERA intends to accelerate the buildout of its data factory and extend its reach into the high-value humanoid and manufacturing data markets.”The financial investor’s willingness to accept a one-year lock-up reflects their conviction in ALCHERA’s direction in physical AI,” said CEO Younggyu Hwang. “We will leverage the data capabilities we built in autonomous driving and expand into humanoid and manufacturing, making the high-value data market a core growth engine for the company.”
