Buysell Standards, the South Korean company behind the STO(Security Token Offering) platform PIECE, has raised approximately $3.45 million (KRW 5 billion) in a Series A round. The round was led by Xartfelix Group, with participation from S&S Investment and SK Networks. SK Networks, which had already partnered with Buysell Standards through a business cooperation agreement in January, joined as a financial investor in this round as well.

Buysell Standards holds a distinctive position in South Korea’s fractional investment market — it is the only multi-asset issuer among the seven fractional investment companies vetted by the Financial Services Commission, and serves as the lead issuer of the KDX consortium. With this Series A funding, the company plans to accelerate the tokenization of assets across three strategic pillars: patent rights, corporate finance, and K-Content.
On the patent rights side, Buysell Standards is partnering with Xartfelix Group to develop STO products backed by the global semiconductor and software patent portfolio of Intellectual Discovery, a domestic IP specialist firm. For corporate finance, the company plans to build a financial support and asset liquidity model for small and mid-sized ventures through a co-managed fund with SK Networks andNICE Investment Partners.
Buysell Standards is also pushing into international markets. The company joined South Korean trade delegations on two consecutive overseas trips — one to the United States in January and another to Vietnam in April as part of the state visit economic delegation — signing cooperation agreements with local fintech partners on both occasions. The company is the only fintech or digital finance firm to have participated in two consecutive trade delegations of this kind.
