Naver has made a strategic investment in UVify, a Korean company specializing in swarm drone technology and autonomous flight platforms.

UVify has built its reputation by targeting international markets from its earliest days, becoming the first Korean drone company to receive the “$10 Million Export Tower” award — a milestone for export achievement. The company also holds the distinction of being the only Korean firm with a seat on the board of the Dronecode Foundation, the global body overseeing PX4, the open-source operating system widely regarded as the industry’s core drone OS.
Through the investment, Naver plans to explore synergies between its AI, cloud, and digital twin capabilities and UVify’s hardware engineering and flight operation expertise. The move comes as physical AI — the convergence of autonomous systems and artificial intelligence — draws growing attention as a next-generation industrial frontier. The partnership is expected to open new applications in public services and smart city environments.
“This investment marks a turning point for us to take our swarm drone technology to the next level and fully realize physical AI solutions across public services, smart cities, and diverse industrial settings,” Hyun Lim, CEO of UVify, said in a statement.
