Sentinel DeepActive Secures Strategic Investment to Advance AI-Driven Retirement Pension Platform

Sentinel DeepActive, a South Korean fintech startup specializing in financial investment AI, has raised $744K (KRW 1.13 billion) in a strategic direct investment from Hyundai Motor Securities.

At the core of the deal is Sentinel AI, the company’s proprietary financial investment AI system, built entirely in-house — from model architecture design to training methodology and infrastructure. The system performs daily active rebalancing across a range of financial assets including individual equities, ETFs, and commodities.

Sentinel DeepActive plans to scale its transformer-based foundation model, currently at 2 billion parameters, to 15 billion parameters by 2027, while expanding its investment universe from the current 15 assets to more than 300. Quantitative performance results from live trading will be disclosed in accordance with disclosure standards following registration on Koscom’s robo-advisor testbed.

Built on Sentinel AI, the company is developing a Sentinel AI Retirement Pension Robo-Advisor, targeting an official launch in 2027. Designed to overcome the limitations of conventional robo-advisors, the system incorporates real-time feedback and self-learning capabilities, executing one rebalancing cycle per day. It is positioned as particularly well-suited for retirement pension clients who require stable long-term asset management, with active downside protection in bear markets. The two companies plan to deepen collaboration in the retirement pension and wealth management sectors.

“I’m convinced that the era is coming when AI doesn’t just assist investment decisions — it directly manages capital and delivers stable results,” said Jun Lee, CEO of Sentinel DeepActive. “Partnering with Hyundai Motor Securities, we aim to bring global top-tier hedge fund-level management efficiency to the retirement pensions of ordinary people.”

Sentinel DeepActive is currently participating in the TIPS program and the Startup Leap Package, with cumulative funding to date reaching approximately $2.8M (KRW 4.25 billion).
