Krafton has completed a strategic investment in Neon Commerce, a global game commerce infrastructure company, as part of a broader push to deepen its connection with users worldwide and strengthen its user-centric ecosystem.

With the investment, Krafton plans to accelerate the build-out of its own payment system and expand its global payment capabilities.
Neon Commerce helps game publishers build, operate, and scale ecosystems for their players. Its platform brings together multiple payment methods into a single system, handles country-specific tax and regulatory compliance, and supports the creation of online stores that publishers can run directly. The company positions this as a way to give players a smoother purchasing experience while giving publishers a more direct line to their user base.
Through close collaboration with Neon Commerce, Krafton intends to bring payment capabilities in-house and offer global users a more stable and convenient purchasing experience. Looking ahead, the company plans to build out its own payment services to improve purchasing convenience and create the infrastructure needed to offer users a wider range of benefits and services directly. Krafton says the move will strengthen its global service operations and expand its reach with users, ultimately reinforcing the competitiveness of its publishing platform.
“This investment marks an important starting point for strengthening the infrastructure that connects us directly with users worldwide,” said Thomas Ko, head of Krafton’s publishing platform division. “Building on the game commerce infrastructure that Neon Commerce provides, we will deliver a better purchasing experience and greater benefits, while expanding a service ecosystem centered on our users.”
“Neon Commerce has focused on giving game companies the scalability and flexibility they need to run their own direct-to-consumer sales businesses,” said Chris Faught, CEO of Neon Commerce. “The game commerce infrastructure we build together with Krafton will set a new standard for the industry going forward.”
