Comfo Labs Raises Seed Funding from Prodigy Investment to Scale AI-Powered Product Development Platform

Comfo Labs, a Seoul-based AI-driven product development solution startup, announced on August 6 that it has raised an undisclosed seed round from Prodigy Investment.

Comfo Labs Raises Seed Funding from Prodigy Investment to Scale AI-Powered Product Development Platform

Founded in 2024, Comfo Labs develops sizelab, a human body data solution, and doodll, an AI-powered product development platform that supports the entire lifecycle from planning and design to engineering and validation.

The founding team brings over 15 years of ergonomics and product design experience, having worked on industry projects with Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, Korea Aerospace Industries, Warby Parker, Logitech, and Bose. Observing the inefficiencies of repetitive prototyping and validation in the product development process, the team launched doodll to transform those workflows.

doodll aims to be a next-generation product development platform that shifts decision-making toward AI and data. The company plans to support internal evaluation, customer response and market forecasting, ergonomic validation, and production cost optimization within a single process, replacing the traditional approach that relied on experience and iterative physical prototyping.

A key differentiator is Comfo Labs’ use of large-scale human body data and 3D persona technology to virtually analyze the fit between products and users. Beyond simple design generation, the platform connects to real-user-perspective validation, reducing trial-and-error and development costs.

Recently, Comfo Labs hosted a user-driven Makeathon using doodll, which attracted more than 1,000 participants. The company plans to expand the initiative into a business model that collaborates with enterprises and local governments to move discovered ideas through product development, validation, production, and market launch.

Prodigy Investment stated that it invested in Comfo Labs based on the team’s deep expertise in human body data and product design, as well as their extensive industry experience, viewing the platform as having strong potential to grow into an AI solution that is actually used for product development and validation.

With the new funding, Comfo Labs will enhance doodll’s core capabilities, including sketch-based 3D product generation and 3D persona-driven ergonomic validation, and expand B2B sales to domestic and international manufacturing clients.

“Through doodll, we will enable companies to develop products faster and with greater confidence, based on data and AI,” a Comfo Labs spokesperson said. “We aim to build a product development ecosystem in which diverse ideas can become innovative products that reach the market.”

Meanwhile, manufacturing and industrial startups leveraging AI and data-driven innovation continue to attract investment. Physical AI robotics startup NeoArcRobotics recently raised $332K in seed funding to develop robotic automation solutions for shipbuilding and construction sites, addressing labor shortages in those sectors. SnapScale also raised seed funding to automate plant design using AI, with backing from KAIST YE Investment Holdings, POSTECH Holdings, and Bass Ventures.
