PMatch, developer of the AI medication safety solution Pilltalk, has raised an undisclosed investment from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance–Infobank Value-Up Venture Fund No.

2, jointly managed by Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and Infobank, the company announced August 14.
With this funding, PMatch plans to advance its AI model for managing polypharmacy in the elderly and expand adoption across care facilities.
Founded in 2021 by Professor Hyoungki Lee from Seoul National University’s Department of Molecular Medicine and Biopharmaceutical Sciences and the Clinical Pharmacology Division at Seoul National University Hospital, PMatch is a healthcare startup dedicated to medication safety. Its flagship product, Pilltalk, officially launched in January, analyzes registered medications to detect ingredient overlap and potentially hazardous drug combinations, producing a medication safety report complete with a safety score and risk grade.
In April, the company introduced Pilltalk biz cares, a version designed for care settings. Welfare workers or pharmacists can register patient medications to receive automated reports, while facility administrators can monitor high-risk populations through a web dashboard. The consumer Pilltalk app is available for free download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Last year PMatch ran pilot medication-safety home visits for local governments in the greater Seoul area and provincial regions, building a practical track record in community care. Since Pilltalk’s formal launch earlier this year, the company has signed paid contracts with multiple municipal governments and home-based care agencies. Seoul’s Gwanak District home pharmacy initiative, powered by Pilltalk, was recognized in February as an AI smart home pharmacy innovation case in a local government innovation review and was also selected for the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s “Companion to the Vulnerable” grant program.
“As Korea’s aging population drives a rapid increase in patients on multiple medications, medication safety management has become more important than ever,” said Hyoungki Lee, CEO of PMatch. “With this investment, we will refine our technology to quantify medication safety and establish a standard that can be used not only in care and healthcare but also in insurance underwriting.”
Community integrated care launched nationwide across 229 city and county districts on March 27. The program provides seniors aged 65 and older who have difficulty with daily life due to frailty or illness with integrated medical, long-term care, and support services at home. According to the National Health Insurance Service, as of June 2025, 1.717 million chronic-disease patients have been taking ten or more medications for over 60 days, with 80.6 percent of them over age 65.
South Korea’s bio-AI sector continues to see investor attention. AMPLY raised seed funding from Bluepoint Partners in June to expand its everyday health diagnostic platform, while WeAid closed a pre-Series A from New Paradigm Investment in July to scale its dental insurance claim automation tool Boum, now live at more than 215 clinics.
