SUME, developer of an autonomous AI video agent for large-scale marketing content, has closed a pre-seed investment round valuing the company at over KRW 20 billion (approximately $14 million), the company announced August 25, 2026.

The round was led by Silicon Valley accelerator Founders Inc, with participation from Kakao Ventures, Futureplay, and Bass Ventures.
SUME achieved the valuation on the strength of rapid traction for its SUME Agent platform, an autonomous AI video production tool launched last month. The company secured an annual API supply contract and reached eight-figure KRW annual revenue within one month of launch, according to CEO Dohyun Lim. The startup currently operates with a two-person team.
Sume Agent is a cloud-based AI video agent designed for high-volume marketing video creation. Users provide prompts, images, video clips or product information in any format; the platform’s orchestration layer structures the input into a reusable skill format, selects and combines the appropriate AI models—spanning video generation, image synthesis, voice and avatar tools—and autonomously executes production through final editing. The system is designed to be accessible to non-developers as well as technical users.
“Sume Agent targets the bottleneck brands and agencies face when they need consistent, large-scale video output,” Lim said. “Users define a video format once as a skill; the agent then applies that skill to produce dozens or hundreds of videos from new product data or assets, maintaining the same composition, tone and editing rules across the entire batch.”
The startup’s customers use the platform to generate thousands of AI videos at scale. Brands and marketing agencies represent the primary user base, applying Sume Agent to short-form social campaigns that demand high volume and rapid deployment. Sume positions the tool as a replacement for the manual multi-tool workflow currently required to produce large batches of marketing video.
Founded in the United States and targeting a global market, Sume previously released Sume Ads in May, a related video-creation service that surpassed 10,000 users within two weeks of launch. Both services now operate on a single website. Earlier this year the team developed Clawra, a sister project to OpenClaw, which drew attention in Silicon Valley and was featured in overseas startup media.
“Even with AI tools, producing video at scale still requires significant cost and labor,” Lim said. “Sume Agent will grow into a service generating hundreds of millions of KRW in revenue this year, and we will continue optimizing and advancing video production to build an AI service that competes with leading global platforms.”
Founders Inc is a prominent Silicon Valley accelerator focused on discovering and nurturing early-stage startups in the region.
