The Korean quantum communication startup QSIMPLUS has been selected for the “First Penguin” program, a promising startup guarantee initiative by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT). The term “First Penguin” refers to a company that, like the first penguin to dive into the sea, bravely confronts uncertainties and challenges. These companies are recognized for their outstanding ideas and technological capabilities, and they have high potential to pioneer new markets and grow into global leaders. Selected companies receive up to 3 billion KRW in guarantees and various financial benefits for three years.

Founded in 2021, QSIMPLUS is a leading quantum communication company focusing on next-generation security technology, developing both hardware and software solutions for quantum communication. The company is committed to user-centric product development to help activate the market during the early stages of quantum information technology.

QSIMPLUS has been acknowledged for the excellence and innovation of its products, winning the CES Innovation Awards for two consecutive years (2023-2024) and receiving a bronze medal at the 2023 Edison Awards, one of the most prestigious invention awards in the United States. Additionally, QSIMPLUS won an excellence award at the GRaND-K Startup School in Hongneung and was selected for the “Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project” promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups since last year.
