Maetel Secures 350M KRW Seed Investment for Global B2B SNS Marketing Solutions

Korean startup Maetel, which develops SNS marketing solutions for the global expansion of domestic B2B companies, has secured a 350 million KRW seed investment from Sopoong Ventures, The Ventures, and Mark & Company. With this investment, Maetel aims to enhance its core content creation and analysis engine to provide more customers with global B2B marketing services through SNS.

Maetel has developed proprietary technology to assist in content marketing specialized for B2B across various marketing channels, with LinkedIn at the forefront. This technology helps companies identify potential customers and publish the most effective content for them. Based on the published content, it predicts which content potential customers are interested in and the likelihood of them becoming actual customers, supporting sales representatives in targeting the right customers and thereby increasing sales success rates.

Despite being an early-stage company, Maetel was recognized in this seed round investment for having a solid revenue base, a management team, including the CEO, with strong expertise in content, the ability to advance and continuously research and develop its own content creation technology, and for being a pioneer in applying trendy overseas B2B marketing methodologies and demand generation techniques in Korea.

Choi Kyung-hee, a partner at Sopoong Ventures who led this investment, stated, “As the number of B2B-targeted startups increases, there is growing interest in how to efficiently acquire customers with a limited budget. Maetel has built a solution that helps enhance individual channels through LinkedIn based on AI technology, allowing for customer acquisition and positive company branding. We highly evaluated the fact that Maetel successfully attracted initial customers during the beta test and validated its performance. We expect Metel to pioneer new marketing fields and help many companies break down national boundaries.”

Joseph Kim, CEO of Maetel, said, “With the advancement of AI technology, language barriers will soon be broken, and anyone will be able to communicate more easily with potential overseas customers. Before that time comes, building international recognition is essential to gaining a competitive edge and determining competitiveness in the global era.”

He also expressed his aspirations, stating, “While consulting on demand generation marketing and creating services in Korea, it has been regrettable to see many great Korean companies still confined to the domestic market. With this investment, we will further enhance Maetel’s services to help many companies realize their dreams overseas as well.”
