KIGLE, a children’s content company of Korea, has announced a KRW 400 million investment in the ‘CABEON‘ TV series animation, a project conceived and produced by DREAMFACTORY STUDIO.
CABEON is a domestically produced IP directly planned and developed by DREAMFACTORY STUDIO. A team of experts from animation production companies and domestic toy manufacturers have been involved in the planning and development of the project for two years. The main target audience is 7-10 year olds, and the project involves the production of a total of 52 episodes of 11-minute FULL 3D animation.
KIGLE’s CEO Kim Yong-su said, “CABEON is a competitive IP that DREAMFACTORY STUDIO, famous for Jellico, is directly pursuing using its planning and production know-how. With a Chinese toy partner also participating in the investment, we expect high overseas sales in the future. Although KIGLE’s investment amount is not large, we have secured long-term business rights related to games, and therefore judged that the strategic value of the IP is very high.”
The CABEON TV series began airing on KBS 1TV last year and is currently being broadcast on various public and cable channels such as JTBC, Animax, and EBS Kids. It is also available on major OTT platforms like Netflix and IPTV VOD.
