Artue Secures Strategic Investment from Crit Ventures USA to Build the Next-Generation Global ArtTech Infrastructure

Korean AI art curation platform Artue, operated by Abitus Associates, has secured a strategic investment from Crit Ventures USA, the U.S. subsidiary of venture capital firm Crit Ventures. With this investment, Crit Ventures USA becomes the second-largest shareholder of Abitus Associates based on the combined assets under management of its funds.

Launched in 2023 with the vision of becoming the “Operating System (OS) for the Art Market in the AI Era,” Artue is an AI-native art platform that understands individual aesthetic preferences and recommends artworks through conversational, multimodal, and emotion-based search technologies. The platform currently features around 540 artists and over 4,000 artworks, with both figures growing more than 15% and 20%, respectively, over the past year—demonstrating its rapidly expanding global presence.

Artue has completed a world-first patent application for its AI-based art recommendation and discovery system, which has been recognized as the first standardized technological framework for visualizing artistic experience. The innovation was featured as a case study at the OpenAI Korea launch event.

In addition, Artue has integrated blockchain-based systems for copyright protection, forgery verification, and digital ownership management, building a trusted global art transaction infrastructure. The company is also preparing to tokenize physical art assets (STO ; Security Token Offering) and launch a global art fund.

To this end, Artue has signed a technical partnership with CONX (ticker: XPLA), a blockchain STO platform backed by Com2uS Holdings, to introduce a next-generation ArtTech financial infrastructure that integrates AI, blockchain, and digital assets.

A spokesperson from Crit Ventures USA commented, “Artue is at the forefront of the digital transformation of the art market, rapidly applying cutting-edge technologies to creative industries. As the AI sector evolves from general-purpose competition to vertical domain specialization in content, design, and entertainment, Artue stands out as a representative example of this trend.”

Boyoung Song, CEO of Abitus Associates, added, “AI is redefining the way we experience art. Together with Crit Ventures USA, we aim to establish a global standard UX for the technology-driven art market and set the foundation for a new digital art ecosystem where AI and art coexist.”
