Pawdlers Raises Seed Funding to Revolutionize the Pet Grooming Industry

Korean pet grooming CRM startup Pawdlers has received seed funding from The Invention Lab, with the amount undisclosed.

Since its launch in April, Pawdlers has rapidly expanded, partnering with over 600 pet grooming shops and accumulating data on 60,000 pets. Using this data, the company provides a variety of pet-related services.

The Invention Lab cited the growth potential of Pawdlers’ pet service booking platform, Pawdly, as a key reason for the investment. “Pawdlers has the potential to evolve into a super app, integrating and analyzing pet-related data to offer comprehensive pet services,” said a representative from The Invention Lab.

Pawdly allows pet owners to input their pet’s details and grooming requests, receive booking confirmations within 24 hours, and get updates when the service is complete. Pawdlers also offers a CRM solution for grooming professionals, or “Partners,” designed to prevent no-shows and allow prepayments, making it easier to manage bookings and sales.

Safety is a top priority for Pawdlers. The company has developed a pet health questionnaire in collaboration with veterinarians, enabling groomers to provide safer services based on each pet’s medical history and specific needs. Additionally, to support groomers, Pawdlers hosts seminars called “Groomers 101,” offering practical training on grooming techniques and veterinary knowledge.

The Invention Lab foresees Pawdlers’ CRM solution being applied in various industries, expanding the platform’s market reach. If Pawdlers can secure its position with this solution, it has the potential to become a Shopify-like model in the pet care industry.

Shinhye Lee, CEO of Pawdlers, stated, “The pet care industry requires not only product development but extensive testing and ongoing support. Once our system is implemented, it can generate steady, long-term revenue.”

Looking ahead, Pawdlers plans to introduce a service called “Pawdly Spot,” which will provide information on pet-friendly cafes and restaurants. The platform will function as a community where users can share reviews and recommendations. Ultimately, Pawdlers aims to grow into a super app for pet businesses, addressing pain points for small businesses in various sectors, including branded pet products.
