Neosapience Raises $11.2M in Pre-IPO Round for AI Voice Platform Typecast

Neosapience, the Korean startup behind AI voice generation platform Typecast, has raised $11.2 million (16.5 billion KRW) in a pre-IPO funding round. Intervest, HB Investment, K2 Investment, and Bokwang Investment participated in the round, bringing the company’s total funding to $29 million (42.7 billion KRW).

Founded in 2017, Neosapience has built its reputation on research into emotion and speech style modeling. The company recently rolled out an upgraded proprietary generative AI model that delivers more natural-sounding voices with precise emotion control and customizable speech styles.

Typecast has seen impressive traction as generative AI adoption accelerates. The platform now boasts 2.63 million registered users as of November 30, 2025, and is on track to exceed $6.8 million (10 billion KRW) in revenue this year. Its user base spans individual content creators like YouTubers alongside major enterprise clients including Chzzk (Naver’s streaming platform), LG U+ (one of Korea’s top three telecom operators), broadcaster SBS, and companies across education, e-commerce, and gaming.

The investors in this round bring deep expertise in AI, content, and platform investments. They pointed to Neosapience’s technical sophistication and its potential to scale globally from its position as Korea’s leading player in the space.

Youngseng Shin, Managing Director at lead investor Intervest, highlighted the company’s core voice synthesis technology and IP portfolio developed since its early days. “Neosapience can parse textual context to capture even subtle emotional nuances,” he said. “The company has proven its dominance in Korea’s creative and content production markets, and we see a significant runway for expansion into global AI voice markets.”

Looking ahead, Neosapience plans to move beyond voice generation into broader conversational AI—technology that can listen, process, and respond in real time.

CEO Taesoo Kim said the pre-IPO round validates both Typecast’s rapid growth trajectory toward $6.8 million (10 billion KRW) in annual revenue and the market’s recognition of its world-class voice synthesis capabilities. “We’re evolving from a company that generates natural-sounding voices into one that creates conversational AI capable of truly natural human interaction—integrating listening, thinking, and speaking,” he explained. “We’ll direct this funding toward hiring top talent, expanding into new business areas and international markets, and investing in AI infrastructure like GPUs to move quickly in the conversational AI space.”
