Galloping, a Korean company developing an AI-powered soccer training service called “AI SOCCER,” announced on the 24th that it has secured a pre-Series A investment from The Invention Lab. The exact amount of investment was not disclosed.
This investment was made through the “Digital Innovation Investment Fund 4,” a deep-tech focused early-stage fund jointly established by The Invention Lab and Abraxas, a company founded by 18 former Samsung executives including former President Dong-soo Jeon, former Executive Vice President Jae-mun Jo, and former Executive Vice President Ho Kim of Samsung SDS.
Galloping is a company that provides services to revolutionize soccer training through the use of artificial intelligence. By moving away from the traditional unstructured training methods, the company helps players improve their abilities through customized training programs based on data. After securing seed investment from Korea University Holdings in April 2023, Galloping successfully completed customer validation through accurate analysis and objective data, proving the potential of its service. Based on this, the company is currently building a digital soccer training antenna shop.
“Starting with this investment, we plan to build various partnerships and collaborate with major clubs, academies, and professional soccer teams in the soccer industry to expand our market share,” said Yi-kyung Son, CEO of Galloping. “With the addition of The Invention Lab and Samsung’s rich experience and expertise, we expect the AI SOCCER service to become more sophisticated and scalable.”
He added, “Based on this technological advantage, we will provide personalized training systems and data-based growth analysis to provide the most optimal training methods for each individual, and aim to become a leader in the global soccer training market, going beyond Korea to Asia, Europe, and North America. Galloping’s goal is not simply to grow the company, but to create a new soccer training paradigm that dramatically reduces customers’ inefficient training time.”
