Superb AI, a leading provider of all-in-one vision AI solutions, has raised ₩13.5 billion (approx. $10 million) in a Series C funding round.
The round included existing investors like KT Investment and Premier Partners, as well as new backers such as Doosan Investment, Hyundai Motor Group, Kakao Investment, and Samsung Next. This brings the company’s total funding to ₩49 billion (approx. $36 million). Superb AI is targeting an IPO by 2026.
Superb AI offers a range of solutions for developing and managing computer vision AI, capable of interpreting images, videos, and 3D LiDAR data. The platform provides companies with end-to-end support, from data design to AI model development and deployment, all within one integrated system.
Recently, Superb AI launched its on-premise solution, designed for clients who can’t use cloud-based SaaS platforms due to data sensitivity, security concerns, or regulatory restrictions. This option gives users the flexibility to choose between SaaS or on-premise deployment depending on their specific needs.
The company also introduced a generative AI-based data generation feature. This technology helps industries like healthcare, manufacturing, construction, and retail produce high-quality training data in situations where real-world data is difficult to obtain, such as defective products, natural disasters, or rare events.
Superb AI has established operations in South Korea, the United States, and Japan, serving over 100 global clients, including Samsung, LG Electronics, Qualcomm, Hyundai Motors, and S-1. The company doubled its revenue in the first half of this year compared to last year, and its Japan office, launched in April 2022, has rapidly grown, securing clients like Toyota and Nippon Steel.
With the new funding, Superb AI plans to scale its specialist team and focus on expanding into the U.S. and Japanese markets. It will also enhance partnerships with strategic investors to drive AI adoption across industries such as manufacturing, retail, defense, and logistics. By partnering with telecom, semiconductor, server, and cloud providers, Superb AI aims to make it easier and faster for customers to implement and continuously use AI in their operations.
A Doosan Investment representative stated, “Superb AI’s cutting-edge technology, flexible service models, and quick market response set them apart. We look forward to integrating their technology across various Doosan industries to create new value.”
Hyunsoo Kim, CEO of Superb AI, said, “This new investment will allow us to expand our team, advance our technology, and build a solid foundation for a successful IPO and long-term growth. With industry leaders as strategic investors, we aim to maximize synergies through close collaboration.”
