BOOMING STUDIOS, a Korean genre music content company, has secured seed investment from the ‘Jeonbuk Initial Investment Krypton Innovation Fund No. 1.’ BOOMING STUDIOS works closely with artists and creators to build a production pipeline for genre music content. With this investment, the company aims to transition into a full-fledged content business and develop a sustainable business model for genre music.

Founded in 2000, BOOMING STUDIOS is a renowned music recording studio that, in 2022, launched a Dolby Atmos studio offering immersive sound experiences. The company leverages its expertise to create various audio content, including music, audio movies, dramas, and online concerts, and is pushing the boundaries to redefine the future of audio content.

The studio has also completed the first phase of its content pool, focusing on current trends and developing original content like ‘Another Live’ and ‘Call Time’ to showcase diverse genre artists who are often overlooked in Korea’s mainstream music market.

Yang Kyeong-jun, CEO of Krypton, said, “We see significant growth potential in the genre music market, which has been largely underserved. We invested in BOOMING STUDIOS because of its solid infrastructure and proven content production capabilities.”

BOOMING STUDIOS is also a member of Art Korean Lab (AKL), receiving growth support from the platform. AKL, run by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, alongside the Arts Management Support Center, fosters innovation and the dissemination of new artistic endeavors.
