Nano Electronics, a South Korean nanomaterial technology company, announced today that it has secured a 4.5 billion KRW (approximately 3.4 million USD) investment.
Nano Electronics has developed a conductive heating element using fine copper nanowires produced through an electrospinning process. This technology enables the creation of 3D heating elements by controlling the energy density of the heating surface, surpassing existing linear and planar heating elements. This innovative 3D heating technology is poised to replace traditional heating products. Nano Electronics has already commercialized a 3D nano-planar heating film with up to 89% energy efficiency, depending on the heating product. The 3D heating technology offers high heating efficiency while significantly reducing energy consumption, making it a leading technology in the eco-friendly heating sector.
Nano Electronics’ superior technology has already gained recognition in the global market. At CES 2024, a world-renowned consumer electronics and IT exhibition held in the United States, the company won the Innovation Award in the energy materials category, showcasing its technological excellence. Furthermore, at JEC 2024, a prestigious global event for the composites industry held in France, Nano Electronics was selected as one of the “Finalist 20” among startups worldwide. These international achievements demonstrate Nano Electronics’ global competitiveness.
With this investment, Nano Electronics will accelerate the establishment of a mass production system for 3D heating films, enhance manufacturing processes, and expand its product lineup. Additionally, the company plans to further strengthen its global market entry strategy to expand the use of its high-efficiency technology in various industries such as automotive, electronics, and construction.
Nano Electronics stated, “This investment will serve as a crucial stepping stone to accelerating our technology advancement and global market entry. Through continuous research and development of innovative products, we will grow into a global leader in the energy materials market.”
It is noteworthy that Nano Electronics has been selected as the fifth cohort of Daejeon for IBK Changgong, an innovative startup fostering program operated by IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.
