Hudson AI, a South Korea-based company, has launched the beta version of Timbr, its innovative AI dubbing service tailored for creators.
Timbr leverages voice and video generation AI technologies, allowing creators to produce dubbed content in various languages using their own voices, synchronized with the video’s lip movements. This breakthrough enables creators around the world to overcome language barriers and swiftly enter international markets. The core of Timbr’s dubbing technology is Hudson AI’s proprietary Acting TTS model, which can replicate a creator’s voice, tone, and non-verbal nuances. It allows for easy one-click translation and dubbing into selected languages, with added functionalities for voice modification and editing.
Moreover, Hudson AI has incorporated exclusive AI lip-sync technology to ensure natural lip alignment in videos. Timbr also offers metadata localization services, adapting video titles, descriptions, and tags to the cultural nuances of target markets, thus enhancing engagement with international audiences. Plans are underway to expand Timbr by adding commerce and analytics features to support creators’ growth and monetization on global platforms such as YouTube.
During its beta service, Timbr supports languages including Korean, English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German, with an expansion to around 20 languages planned for the official launch. Hudson AI has collaborated with over 60 Korean YouTube channels. Prominent creators like ChimChakman and the animation channel GH’S, which has over 23 million subscribers, have successfully used Timbr’s technology for multilingual dubbing, receiving positive feedback. HoneybeeFather, a leading beekeeping YouTuber, has notably increased his global reach, amassing about 1 million views in North America with an English-dubbed video.
Hyunjin Shin, CEO of Hudson AI, commented, “With Timbr, we aim to empower more creators to connect with global audiences effortlessly. As Korean content continues to gain worldwide acclaim, Timbr offers creators exciting new opportunities for market expansion and community engagement through its advanced AI localization features.”
