GLORANG Secures Strategic Investment from Japan’s DG Daiwa Ventures to Expand Globally

Korean startup GLORANG announced on the 12th that it has secured additional investment from Japan’s DG Daiwa Ventures

Since its market entry in 2021, GLORANG has grown to become the industry leader in Korea. The company states, “We continuously conduct psychological diagnostic tests in career path, aptitude, intelligence, interests, and personality for 2 million students out of 5 million elementary, middle, and high school students annually. We plan to provide customized growth and feedback solutions for parents and students based on this test data.”

The diagnostic tests are being rapidly translated into various languages including English, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Russian. The company is quickly penetrating the global market through an exclusive contract with TBS, one of Japan’s largest media groups.

GLORANG’s platform, Gguge, provides real-time online classes for children aged 5-19. It launched with approximately 9,000 classes and 7,000 teachers across various categories including core subjects like Korean, English, and Mathematics, as well as specialized courses in Roblox, Minecraft, Cube, Reading, and Native English speaking.

Since its launch, Gguge has grown by over 100% annually and recently surpassed 500,000 cumulative users.

The company plans to integrate psychological diagnostic tests with the Gguge platform to launch features such as AI continuous feedback for parents, AI educational effectiveness measurement, and AI career prediction. This recent investment was driven by the platform’s future potential to maximize student motivation, teacher feedback, and parent satisfaction through psychological diagnostics and AI integration.

DG Daiwa stated, “In the rapidly changing global education market, we believe GLORANG provides innovative products that penetrate the global market. Given the exceptional capabilities of their executive team, we expect them to play a crucial role in the education market at this inflection point.”

Tae-il Hwang, CEO of GLORANG, said, “The education market is facing a new paradigm with the advent of the AI era. We will establish an overwhelming position through preemptive market capture.”
