Neutune, a Korean startup behind the AI-powered music creation platform “Mix Audio,” has raised KRW 2 billion in Pre-Series A funding from InterVest. This investment highlights Neutune’s innovative approach to generative AI music distribution, designed to be copyright-safe.

Mix Audio offers a tailored music production service for content creators, video producers, and game developers. At its core is Neutune’s proprietary generative engine, “Block Music AI,” which enables users to seamlessly combine and edit musical instruments and compositions like Lego blocks. This multimodal system allows music creation through text, images, and audio inputs, delivering unmatched speed and flexibility—producing up to four songs in just three seconds. By leveraging pre-cleared music sample data, the platform eliminates copyright concerns.

Since its launch eight months ago, Mix Audio has rapidly expanded, attracting users from over 220 countries who have created more than 1.3 million songs. It now ranks first in Korea and sixth globally in AI music service traffic. Additionally, the “Block Music AI for Artists” feature, which lets users register their music for free and earn revenue, has received strong support, with hundreds of song submissions in its first month.

This funding will enable Neutune to enhance its technology and strengthen its position in the global AI music creation market. The company aims to break into the top five global rankings by early next year. Planned upgrades include new tools for analyzing sound sources, isolating individual instrument tracks, and extracting MIDI files.

InterVest, a venture capital firm with extensive experience in ICT and biotech investments, has expanded its portfolio by backing Neutune in the AI music creation space. The firm is known for supporting innovative startups leveraging advanced AI technologies.
