ControlM Expands AI-Powered F&B Solutions with Seed Funding from MYSC and Translink

Korean food-tech AI solutions company ControlM has secured seed investment from MYSC (MY Social Company) and Translink Investment.

ControlM aims to tackle the high closure rate among self-employed businesses by providing optimized AI solutions for F&B company owners and franchise operators. Its core technology, built on Vertical LLM and RAG, sets it apart by applying AI to all aspects of store operations. Specifically, the company offers tailored AI solutions for marketing, HR management, training, e-contracts, and supply chain management (SCM), focusing on the needs of F&B store operations.

Over the past three years, ControlM has directly operated F&B franchise stores and its own factories, identifying the real need for AI solutions in the field. By implementing and validating its AI solutions in its own stores, the company has proven their practicality and effectiveness.

Jungtae Kim, CEO of MYSC, said, “ControlM takes an innovative approach by using AI to address real challenges faced in store operations. I believe their field-driven solutions will continue to provide meaningful support to F&B business owners.”

Jongkwan Won, CEO of ControlM, commented, “With over 1 million small business closures projected in 2024, the situation is extremely concerning. Our AI solutions, developed from firsthand experience running F&B stores, aim to ease the burden on small business owners and serve as a ‘friendly genie’ that genuinely helps improve store profitability.”

ControlM plans to use this investment to enhance its AI solutions, expand its presence in the domestic F&B market, and actively pursue opportunities in global markets in the near future.
