Munice Secures Pre-Series A2 Funding to Expand Nightly Sleep App Globally
South Korean company Munice, the operator of the neuroscience-based sleep app “Nightly,” announced on the 31st that it has secured Pre-Series A2 funding.

The Pre-Series A2 funding round raised KRW 2.2 billion (approximately USD 1.7 million), with participation from global investors Schmidt (Korea), Z Venture Capital (Japan), and Samsung Next (USA).
Launched in April 2022, Nightly has seen steady growth and now serves 700,000 users worldwide. It has consistently held the top spot in the Health/Fitness category on the Korean App Store and has surpassed 7 million cumulative sleep service hours.
Nightly’s key feature is its ability to collect user-specific data, such as mood and daily activities, that may affect sleep. Using this information, the app generates personalized, effective monaural beats to enhance sleep quality. Additionally, it provides weekly sleep reports, summarizing trends, patterns, and evaluations based on the user’s personalized data.
Seohyun Kwon, CEO of Munice, stated, “With this funding, we are accelerating our global expansion into markets like the U.S. and Japan. By next year, we aim to position Nightly as the world’s leading sleep tech service.”
