Rollingseeds, a South Korean edutainment platform company, has secured investment from Bigbang Angels and Bigbang Ventures and been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups). This funding will help Rollingseeds strengthen its foundation for global market expansion.

TIPS is a private investment-driven program that supports technology startups, offering selected companies up to KRW 700 million (approximately $530,000) in government funding. Rollingseeds was chosen for the program due to its innovative combination of play-based interactive content and hardware technology.
The company targets children aged 4-8 and their families, providing edutainment content through a hardware platform featuring an intuitive, coin-operated user experience (UX). This design makes it accessible to children, families, and those less familiar with gaming.
With support from the TIPS program, Rollingseeds plans to develop curriculum-based content for global educational institutions and expand its platform. While edtech products for children over 10, such as coding, drone, and robotics kits, are well-established in the after-school market, the edtech market for children under 8 remains largely untapped, limited to basic digital toys. Rollingseeds aims to address this gap by creating a platform that integrates experiential gaming curricula with language and math education, setting its sights on the global education market.
In 2024, Rollingseeds successfully launched its products in global markets, including Amazon in the U.S., Europe, and Taiwan, showcasing its international competitiveness. Gu Tae-hoon, CEO of Bigbang Ventures, highlighted Rollingseeds’ potential for hardware platform expansion and its early successes in overseas markets as key reasons for the investment.
Sung-hoon Cho, CEO of Rollingseeds, commented, “Our selection for the TIPS program establishes a strong foundation for expanding into global educational institutions. We will continue to lead the integration of content and hardware for children, families, and the general public, paving the way in the edutainment gaming market.”
