AI Music Startup Pozalabs to Showcase aespa’s Spatial Sound Remastered Content at CES 2025
AI music startup Pozalabs will unveil aespa’s spatial sound remastered content, created in collaboration with Samsung Electronics, Google, and SM Entertainment, at CES 2025. This project utilizes the 3D audio technology ‘Eclipsa Audio’ to remaster aespa’s popular music videos and concert footage, offering an immersive sound experience.
Eclipsa Audio, the brand name for the Immersive Audio Model and Formats (IAMF) technology developed by Samsung Research and Google, will debut at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, USA, embedded in Neo QLED TVs.
The content Pozalabs will showcase at CES includes aespa’s music videos for ‘Whiplash’, ‘Supernova’, and ‘Armageddon’, as well as live concert footage. Attendees will experience IAMF 3D audio technology on-site, enjoying spatial sound that adds depth to the existing content.
This project reimagines the sound of existing content with spatial depth using Eclipsa Audio, creating a new audio experience by enhancing the original tracks with three-dimensional sound. The technology is expected to expand beyond video content into various fields where spatial sound is crucial, such as in-store music and gaming.
Notably, YouTube recently announced* that it will adopt IAMF technology across its platform starting in 2025, signaling the mainstreaming of 3D audio content. Pozalabs is working on solutions to help creators easily produce and utilize 3D audio, aligning with this shift.
Through this project, Pozalabs has opened new possibilities for content production using spatial sound technology. Tae-hyun Kim, CSO of Pozalabs, emphasized, “Our collaboration with Samsung Electronics, Google, and SM Entertainment is a significant milestone in spreading spatial sound technology to global platforms and proving the value of next-generation content. We will strengthen mutual cooperation to expand the new market opportunities brought by spatial sound technology.”
Pozalabs aims to highlight the potential of spatial sound technology and strengthen its position in the global content market. The company sees CES 2025 as a pivotal moment to establish itself as a leader in AI music and immersive audio technology.
