Delivered Korea Partners with Mercari to Boost Korean Sellers in Japan
Global reverse direct purchase company Delivered Korea has announced a business partnership with Mercari, Japan’s largest secondhand trading platform, to support Korean sellers’ entry into the Japanese market.

Through this collaboration, Korean sellers using Delivered Korea can now directly sell their products to Japanese consumers on Mercari. Without needing to build a separate system for the Japanese market, sellers can leverage Delivered Korea’s operational and logistics services to expand their sales channels in Japan and accelerate their global market entry.
Mercari, Japan’s leading online secondhand trading platform, boasts over 23 million monthly active users (MAU). As of 2024, it has more than 4 billion registered products, with an annual gross merchandise volume (GMV) reaching 1,072.7 billion JPY (approximately $7.1 billion USD / 9,500 billion KRW).
According to Delivered Korea’s 2024 “Transaction Share by Country” data, Japan showed the highest growth compared to the previous year, ranking second behind the United States and reflecting a strong preference for Korean products.
This partnership allows Korean sellers to simply provide product data while receiving comprehensive support from Delivered Korea, including Mercari onboarding and operations, making entry into the Japanese market seamless. Delivered Korea offers a one-stop logistics and operational service that simplifies all processes required for selling in Japan, from product registration to order integration, payment, and export/import customs clearance.
Notably, Delivered Korea signed a tripartite partnership in 2024 with Bunjang Marketplace and Mercari, managing the sale and operations of Bunjang products on Mercari. Last year, Bunjang registered a large volume of products on Mercari via Delivered Korea, and the GMV of Bunjang products on Mercari has steadily grown, with a 2.72-fold increase in Q4 2024 compared to Q3.
Jong-ik Kim, CEO of Delivered Korea, said, “This alliance with Mercari will allow Japanese consumers to easily access a wider variety of Korean products, while Korean sellers can expand their global reach, creating great synergy. Delivered Korea will continue to strengthen global partnerships to support the growth of domestic brands and sellers, offering diverse options to consumers worldwide who are passionate about K-culture.”
