FODI by Sae Heureum Gets Backing from CNTTech to Advance K-Dance Training

Sae Heureum, the company behind the AI-powered K-Dance training service FODI, announced on the 1st that it has secured seed investment from CNTTech.

FODI, short for “Formation Director in My Hand,” is a K-Dance training platform designed for both the general public and performance artists. Using its proprietary AI model, it offers an efficient and structured training environment. The platform provides optimized solutions not only for K-Pop cover dance teams but also for professional dancers, choreographers, and artists.

Traditionally, the dance industry has relied heavily on experience and intuition, with limited access to systematic training methods. Performance artists, especially K-Pop cover dance teams, have often faced challenges in learning choreography and coordinating with teammates—tasks that demand significant time and effort.

Sae Heureum aims to improve these inefficiencies by integrating technology into the rehearsal and preparation process, allowing dancers and performers to train more effectively and systematically.

The current version of FODI is a smart choreography training app tailored to the needs of K-Pop cover dance teams and performance artists. It helps reduce practice time and enhances performance quality by creating a more organized training experience.

The company is also developing features that use its proprietary AI model to analyze movement patterns and choreography similarities among performers. This will enable more precise and insightful feedback, paving the way for smarter, more effective training.

Jung Joo-jin, CEO of Sae Heureum, commented, “With the rapid growth of the performing arts market, there is a growing need for training solutions that are both systematic and intuitive. By integrating AI and IT into our platform, we aim to build an innovative K-Dance system that allows more dancers to train in an efficient and engaging environment.”

FODI is preparing to launch a tablet app later this year, designed to offer an even more immersive and user-friendly training experience. Looking ahead, Sae Heureum plans to expand beyond the domestic market into the global performing arts industry. The company will continue refining its K-Dance training service and advancing its technology to meet the needs of international users.
Sae Heureum secured this investment while also advancing its business model through the 2024 First-Time Youth Startup Support Program, led by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) and operated by CNTTech.
