Ratel Semiconductor Secures Strategic Investment and Joins DIPS 1000+
Ratel Semiconductor, a Korean fabless startup specializing in Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs), has secured a strategic investment from automotive semiconductor company Telechips and has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “Deep Tech Incubator for Startup 1000+” (DIPS 1000+) program.

Since its founding, Ratel Semiconductor has focused on developing PMICs for display applications, earning recognition for its technological capabilities. Building on this foundation, the company is now accelerating its efforts to develop PMIC solutions for automotive applications. CEO Soon-Goo Park, who established Ratel after serving more than two decades as Korea Country Manager and Business Unit Head at Richtek, Asia’s leading PMIC company, has assembled a team of global experts with an average of over 15 years of experience to bolster the company’s technical competitiveness.
As part of its selection for the DIPS 1000+ program, Ratel Semiconductor will receive up to approximately USD 450,000(KRW 600 million) in development funding over the next three years. This support follows the company’s previous selection for TIPS, a private-public startup acceleration program in 2024, and is expected to provide stable financial resources for new product development and business expansion.
Commenting on the recent developments, CEO Park stated, “Telechips’ strategic investment reflects a strong recognition of Ratel Semiconductor’s technology and growth potential. Through the development and localization of PMICs for both display and automotive applications, we aim to strengthen the global competitiveness of Korea’s system semiconductor industry.”
