PRENEU, a South Korean company specializing in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) design, manufacturing, and avionics component development, has secured approximately USD 11 million(KRW 15 billion) in a pre-IPO funding round.

New investors in this round include Korea Development Bank (KDB), Timefolio Asset Management, and YG Investment. Returning investors such as BNK Securities, Hyundai Technology Investment, T Investment, and New main Capital also participated through follow-on investments.

Founded in 2017, PRENEU has built a strong foundation in domestic drone R&D and manufacturing. The company has led multiple localization initiatives in airframe design, core component development, and control systems, gaining recognition for its technological excellence.

To meet growing demand from both defense and civilian sectors, PRENEU has developed operational systems tailored to specific applications, creating new revenue opportunities.

In the second half of 2024, PRENEU plans to release the “ARK MODULE,” which integrates core avionics components into a single unit. After applying it to its own drone models, the company aims to expand its presence not only in the domestic market but also overseas, laying the groundwork for a scalable revenue model.

The newly raised funds will be used to advance drone product development and scale up production. PRENEU is currently preparing for a KOSDAQ listing through Korea’s technology-special listing track. The company has selected Korea Investment & Securities as its lead underwriter and recently completed its technology evaluation application.
