AeiROBOT, a Korean startup specializing in humanoid robotics, announced on the 11th that it has successfully raised approximately USD 7.2 million (KRW 10 billion) in Series A funding.

The round was led by new investors including BonAngels Venture Partners, Korea Development Bank (KDB), NH Venture Investment, and Innopolis Partners. Existing investors Hana Ventures, SGC Partners, and Gauss Capital Management also participated in follow-on investments. This brings AeiROBOT’s total funding to approximately USD 9.7 million (KRW 13.5 billion), just one year after raising USD 2.5 million (KRW 3.5 billion) in seed funding.

AeiROBOT has been gaining global recognition for its technological innovation. In May, the company was invited by NVIDIA to participate in GTC 2025’s InnoVEX event in Taiwan, where it won both the “NVIDIA Award” and the “Okinawa Innovation Award.”
NVIDIA highlighted AeiROBOT in its official announcements as an early adopter of the Isaac GR00T platform, an AI system optimized for full-body humanoid control. Using Isaac GR00T, AeiROBOT’s humanoid robot “ALICE” can understand natural language commands and perform complex tasks in industrial settings. AeiROBOT has also been selected for the NVIDIA Inception Program, gaining access to technical guidance and opportunities for global partnerships.
The company originated as a spin-off from the robotics lab of Professor Jae Kwon Han at Hanyang University ERICA. AeiROBOT’s product lineup includes the bipedal humanoid robot ALICE, the service robot AMY, and the companion robot EDIE. Its proprietary third-generation linear actuator improves performance while reducing manufacturing costs, advancing the feasibility of humanoid robotics at scale.
AeiROBOT is also a key member of the government-backed ‘K-Humanoid Alliance.’ CEO Yunseol Um serves on the alliance’s executive committee, taking a leadership role in shaping Korea’s national strategy for humanoid robotics.
“The solution to our productivity crisis amid a shrinking population lies in robotics,” said CEO Yunseol Um. “With this Series A funding, we will leverage our differentiated technologies to secure a leading position in the global humanoid robot market.”
