Packative Secures Pre-Series A Funding to Expand AI-Powered Packaging Platform to Japan
Packative, the AI-powered packaging marketplace transforming how brands design and source custom packaging, has closed its Pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Miraise VC of Japan, with participation from Strong Ventures of the United States, VNTG of Korea, and a Japanese corporate venture capital firm specializing in packaging.

The milestone represents more than just financial backing—it signals a significant cross-border collaboration. With investors from Korea, Japan, and the United States, Packative is positioned to officially expand its operations to Japan within the coming months, fundamentally reshaping how businesses of all sizes access packaging solutions.
“Closing this round with both financial investors and an industry CVC partner marks a turning point for Packative,” said Dominik Danninger, founder and CEO of Provotive, the company operating Packative. “Japan is one of the world’s most demanding and innovative packaging markets. With our partners, we are ready to scale our technology-driven platform beyond Korea and create a new standard for packaging solutions in Asia.”
Founded in 2021, Provotive operates Packative, which has established itself as Korea’s leading AI-based packaging platform. The platform currently serves more than 3,500 brands, ranging from major corporations to emerging startups. Its AI-powered system enables instant customization, quoting, and ordering of packaging—reducing procurement cycles that traditionally took weeks down to mere hours.
The newly secured Japanese CVC partnership provides not only capital but also direct access to infrastructure and customers in Japan, creating a strategic runway for Packative to expand across Asia and into Europe. This infrastructure advantage positions the company to scale rapidly in one of the world’s most sophisticated packaging markets.
