SkyLabs, a South Korean startup, has secured investment from Omron Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of the Omron Group. The company also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Omron Healthcare, a global leader in blood pressure monitoring devices, to strengthen their strategic partnership.

This investment goes beyond financial support, underscoring a reinforced strategic alliance aimed at global business expansion. It reflects the recognition of SkyLabs’ growth potential in chronic disease prevention and the global scalability of its patented device, CART BP.
In 2024, the two companies signed an MoU to collaborate on global distribution and business development for CART BP. They also finalized a distribution agreement for early products in the Japanese market.
SkyLabs’ commercialized product, the cuffless, ring-type blood pressure monitor CART BP, enables continuous measurement of blood pressure during daily activities, sleep, and nighttime, helping to prevent hypertension and cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases. Unlike traditional clinic-based or outpatient measurements, the device allows users to track hourly, daily, and monthly blood pressure variations and trends in everyday settings.
Lee Byung-hwan, CEO of SkyLabs, commented, “This strategic partnership demonstrates that our technology has been validated for both clinical efficacy and business potential on a global scale. Together with Omron Healthcare, a leader in the global blood pressure monitor market, we aim to drive innovation in the global healthcare industry by expanding chronic disease management.”
