ButFitSeoul Raises $7M Series B to Enhance Integrated On&Off-line Fitness Platform
Korean fitness startup ButFitSeoul has secured $7 million USD (10 billion KRW) in Series B funding. The round was joined by existing investors Kakao Ventures and BA Partners, with new investors Murex Partners, Gravity PE, Future Play, and Ilshin investment. A major construction company also participated as a strategic investor. With this latest round, ButFitSeoul’s cumulative funding has surpassed $14 million USD (20 billion KRW).

ButFitSeoul operates “ButFit Ground,” a reward ecosystem-based fitness space brand, and “Team ButFit,” a community-driven team training brand. The company’s distinctive features include a unified space where members can access various workout content—including fitness, personal training, and team training—all on one platform, along with a workout data-driven reward system. Leveraging this differentiated space and content power, the brand has expanded to 16 key locations across major Seoul areas within four years of launch, recording 1,200% revenue growth compared to 2021.
Over the past year, ButFit Ground has established itself as a key tenant in major commercial buildings including Gwanghwamun SFC, Magok One Grove, and Gangnam GFC. In March next year, the company plans to unveil a new wellness building brand in collaboration with a global sports brand.
Beyond offline expansion, ButFitSeoul is broadening customer touchpoints through its online platform. The company’s app offers workout record management, community participation, and exercise reward accumulation features, building an integrated online-offline workout experience.
Dongwook Jang, Director at Kakao Ventures, who has participated in all three investment rounds since ButFitSeoul’s seed funding, commented, “ButFitSeoul is a team that has rapidly proven brand competitiveness, operational efficiency, and scalability even in challenging market conditions. We decided to continue our investment given their potential to lead structural transformation in the fitness industry.”
Minwoo Jang, CEO of ButFitSeoul, stated, “Based on ButFitSeoul’s unique workout brand, we will advance as a core solution in the real estate market and strengthen our competitiveness as a digital platform, creating an integrated online-offline platform that drives innovation in the fitness industry.”
