Sevasa Secures Pre-Series A from Zenaxis to Advance AI-Powered Energy Management

Korean AI-based power prediction and variable power control startup Sevasa has raised pre-Series A funding from Genaxis. The investment amount was not disclosed. This funding recognizes Sevasa’s technical capabilities and proven results in addressing the rapidly growing EV charging demand and building power limitations through AI power prediction-based energy control technology, as well as its potential for power and data-driven expansion.

Sevasa develops and operates BECS (Building Energy & Control System), which predicts peak power and dynamically controls available power based on real-time building electricity usage data. The technology is designed to expand EV charging infrastructure without additional transformer installations, dramatically reducing deployment costs and construction time compared to conventional charging infrastructure.

The system has secured power demand prediction accuracy through AI prediction algorithms integrated with Korea Electric Power Corporation data, enabling contract power reduction benefits at the building level. This technical capability has been validated through demonstrations in various environments including public parking lots, large apartment complexes, and commercial buildings.

Genaxis focused on Sevasa’s Free Charging Zone model where EVs and internal combustion vehicles share the same space, its SaaS-based operational structure integrating power, charging, and data, and its business scalability spanning both public (B2G) and private (B2B) markets. The model is evaluated as having the potential to evolve beyond simple charger manufacturing or operation into a structure that controls and monetizes energy flow.

“Sevasa is solving structural problems in EV charging and building energy management through field demonstrations and data,” said a Genaxis representative. “We decided to invest considering not only technical completeness but also rapid applicability in public and private markets and global scalability.” The representative added that Genaxis plans to actively support growth through follow-on investment and strategic partnerships.

With this investment, Sevasa plans to focus on advancing AI power prediction and control technology, expanding core personnel, and scaling public and large private projects. In the medium to long term, the company aims to pursue power data-based services and overseas market entry.
