SDT Raises $20.6M to Build AI-Quantum Hybrid Infrastructure
Korean quantum technology startup SDT has raised $20.6 million (30 billion KRW) in funding from private equity firm Praxis Capital Partners and NH Investment & Securities.

The company will use the capital to build AI–quantum hybrid infrastructure and refine its technology. By developing next-generation computing solutions that tackle the surging computational demands of the AI era, SDT is positioning itself to capture leadership in this emerging market.
Praxis Capital, which led the round, pointed to SDT’s unique quantum-AI hybrid full-stack capabilities and market scalability as the main drivers of their investment. According to an investor representative, SDT stands out as the only Korean tech company with integrated hardware and software expertise capable of delivering real commercialization results in the fast-growing AI infrastructure market.
“We place tremendous value on SDT’s technical maturity and execution capabilities, which were proven through Korea’s first commercial quantum computer delivery,” the representative explained. “We expect the company to emerge as a global leader in quantum science technology.”
SDT recently proved its technical strength and commercialization readiness by signing Korea’s first commercial quantum hybrid system supply contract. With this fresh funding, the company plans to deepen its presence across public and private sectors while significantly expanding its operations.
Partnering with NH Investment & Securities as lead underwriter, SDT is fast-tracking preparations for a technology-track IPO. The company is now going through technology evaluation based on its proprietary quantum-AI hybrid technology and proven commercialization track record, targeting a listing by year-end.
Commercial revenue is starting to materialize for SDT after the company began supplying quantum computers to AI data centers. First-half revenue this year is expected to jump more than 200% year-over-year. If ongoing contract negotiations close as planned, SDT forecasts 2026 annual revenue could soar over 500% from the prior year. Riding this momentum, the company aims to cement its position as Korea’s premier quantum technology player and push into global markets.
Jiwon Yoon, CEO of SDT, said the investment validates the company’s vision of an AI-quantum computing ecosystem. “With this capital, we’ll lead the next-generation infrastructure market, including AI data centers, and become a global quantum company through a successful IPO this year.”
