FLO-LOUNGE Raises Pre-Series A Follow-on to Scale AI-Powered Flower Delivery Network

Korean flower distribution innovation startup FLO-LOUNGE has secured pre-Series A follow-on funding from CNTTech. FLO-LOUNGE is an O2O-based flowertech company solving structural inefficiencies in Korea’s flower industry through AI-powered demand forecasting technology and proprietary distribution infrastructure.

Founded in 2021, FLO-LOUNGE runs premium flower delivery service “FLO-LOUNGE,” flower subscription brand “Florano,” and fresh flower wholesale distribution platform “FLO-LOUNGExBiz,” hitting both B2C and B2B markets simultaneously. The company carved out differentiated positioning by creating a new distribution category of “quality-guaranteed flower delivery” based on metropolitan scheduled delivery and nationwide weekend and holiday delivery systems. FLO-LOUNGE also moves fresh flowers through major retail channels including large supermarkets and home shopping networks, pushing flowers beyond special occasions into everyday consumer goods.

FLO-LOUNGE leverages AI-based demand forecasting to purchase fresh flowers at optimal prices and extends flower preservation periods up to 3x using proprietary refrigeration and fresh flower coating technologies. With this tech foundation, the company has penetrated over 50 distribution channels including Lotte and Hyundai Home Shopping, E-Mart and Homeplus supermarkets, and online platforms. A proof of concept in Incheon delivered 162% revenue growth and 5% cost reduction within three months.

From day one, FLO-LOUNGE has pushed for digital transformation across the entire flower distribution process by building an integrated on & off-line platform. In 2022, the company earned recognition for its technology and growth potential through selection for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Early-Stage Startup Package and venture company certification (innovative growth type). In 2023, FLO-LOUNGE broadened its business portfolio through flower display device patent registration, acquisition of subscription service “Florano,” and selection as an agricultural and food venture development company.

In 2024, the company leveled up both distribution channels and R&D capabilities by securing flower wholesale qualification, pre-Series A funding, and selection for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS R&D project. In 2025, FLO-LOUNGE landed E-Mart supplier status for flowers and potted plants, won recognition as an outstanding agricultural and food venture and female-focused accelerating startup, and closed this follow-on investment from CNT Tech. This investment carries special weight as it emerged through the Korea Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ agricultural and food venture development support program.

CEO Ji-hyun Shim said the company will further upgrade its nationwide flower delivery network and fully commercialize its AI demand forecasting system with this funding. “We’ll set new standards for Korea’s flower industry and accelerate global expansion as Korea’s leading K-Flower brand.”
