SYU Raises $544K Seed Funding for AI-Powered Workflow Automation Platform

SYU, a Korean startup developing an AI agent-based workflow automation platform, has secured $544,000 USD (800 million KRW) in seed funding from Sunbo Angel Partners and Series Ventures.

SYU has developed a platform where AI reads and interprets messages sent by people and automatically creates the records needed for work. In simple terms, when someone sends messages like “Please place an order” or “Process this payment,” the AI interprets them and automatically generates the necessary vouchers in the company system, connecting them through to settlement and approval.

The platform’s key strength lies in its flexibility—it’s designed to work with any company environment through APIs, Excel, and templates, without being tied to specific systems like Douzone or SAP. From a business perspective, companies can reduce repetitive data entry tasks and prevent errors and omissions while maintaining their existing workflows.

Investors reportedly valued the technology’s ability to automatically convert messages into ERP tasks, its structure that minimizes repetitive inputs, and its flexible design that enables connection with various ERP systems.

SYU plans to use the funding to expand industry-specific standard templates across distribution, manufacturing, and service sectors to speed up implementation, advance core R&D for data validation and error detection, expand connectors and APIs for customer integration, and prepare for phased global expansion through partnerships and local proof-of-concept projects.

Junghwan Shin, CEO of SYU, stated, “With this investment, we will expand our industry-specific standard templates and enhance the automation accuracy and operational stability of ordering, settlement, and documentation processes that are burdensome in actual work environments. We will strengthen our product competitiveness so that companies across finance, manufacturing, distribution, and other industries can handle work stably even with minimal staff.”SYU has received comprehensive support through the “Sseuseullo(meaning of by oneself) Project Prep Vietnam” hosted by the Busan Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and Korea South Power, organized by the Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (Busan CCEI). The program supported the company through all stages from pre-launch global expansion preparation to local programs including InnoEX exhibition participation and investor-buyer meetups, followed by post-launch performance review. Additionally, SYU was selected for the 2025 Early-Stage Startup Package, a Korean Government support program organized by Busan CCEI, further validating its business excellence and enabling greater focus on scaling up.
