Korean AI Cloud Startup aieev Secures $415K Pre-Series A Investment

Korean AI infrastructure startup aieev has closed a $415,000 (600 million KRW) pre-Series A funding round led by Bluepoint Partners and ROWE Partners, with participation from AI Angel Club. The round brings the company’s total raised to $1.45 million (2.1 billion KRW).

aieev operates a decentralized cloud platform that taps into idle GPU resources worldwide, bypassing the need for traditional centralized data centers.

The startup’s Air Cloud platform partners with PC cafe networks across Korea to access unused GPU capacity, while also deploying dedicated LLM devices at key regional locations. By pooling these distributed resources, aieev delivers reliable AI inference at up to 40% lower costs than conventional data centers—all without the complexity of traditional infrastructure or the need for specialized IT staff.

The company has put its technology through its paces in accelerator programs at LG U+ SHIFT, Samsung C-Lab, and SK Telecom, validating both its technical approach and market fit. With fresh capital in hand, aieev plans to refine its enterprise offerings and scale its business.

“aieev has built real technical differentiation in a space where the barriers to entry are notoriously high,” said Woojin Cha, Principal at Bluepoint. “They’re well-positioned to become a major force in next-generation AI infrastructure.”

Sejin Park, CEO of aieev, noted that Air Cloud’s usage metrics are climbing steadily thanks to its reliability. “Our immediate focus is expanding our distributed network capacity to keep pace with demand,” he said. “Long-term, we’re working to set the standard for decentralized AI cloud technology and build a genuinely sustainable Korean cloud option that AI companies can depend on.”
