NETFORM R&D, a South Korean startup specializing in building renovation technology solutions, has secured approximately $2.78M (KRW 4 billion) in a pre-IPO investment round from We Ventures.

The company has maintained an operating profit margin of over 25% every year since its founding, while revenue has grown at an average annual rate of 50% over the past three years. In 2025 alone, NETFORM R&D posted revenue of approximately $10.6M (KRW 15.3 billion) and operating profit of around $3.47M (KRW 5 billion). The company holds 60 patents and offers more than 100 product types, with its solutions deployed by over 250 construction contractors nationwide. Last year, renovation projects utilizing NETFORM R&D’s technology were carried out at 672 apartment complexes across South Korea.

The fresh capital will be directed toward overseas expansion and strategic mergers and acquisitions. The company plans to establish local subsidiaries, build international partnerships, and localize its services in a phased approach to grow its global footprint.

A central element of the M&A strategy is acquiring AI-powered safety ICT startups. NETFORM R&D aims to bring in companies with capabilities in intelligent safety management, risk prediction, and facility monitoring — integrating these technologies with its existing renovation business to create synergies. The long-term goal is to evolve into a comprehensive solutions provider that addresses safety challenges not only in building structures, but across everyday environments and industrial sites.

“We plan to deepen our core technologies and expand our business scope through acquisitions of AI-based safety technology companies,” the company said, adding that it is targeting a listing application in 2026 and aims to grow into a globally competitive tech firm.
