RAPEECH Raises $995K to Advance Next-Gen Conversational AI Solutions Through the Convergence of AI and NI

RAPEECH, a South Korean startup specializing in conversational AI, has secured approximately $995,000 (KRW 1.5 billion) in a new funding round from Capstone Scale-up Investment Partnership, which manages the “Konex Scale-up Fund” — a vehicle designed to support the growth of Konex-listed companies and energize the market.

The investor is a returning backer, having also participated in RAPEECH‘s Series A round in 2024. The follow-on investment reflects the fund’s confidence in the company’s recent operational milestones and long-term value. With this latest round, RAPEECH’s total cumulative funding reaches approximately $4.98 million (KRW 7.5 billion), including the roughly $3.98 million (KRW 6 billion) raised in the Series A.

A key driver behind the investment is RAPEECH’s acquisition of Seokyung NCS, a specialist in network infrastructure (NI) and telecommunications. By bringing NI capabilities in-house, RAPEECH has evolved from a conversational AI solution provider into a one-stop integrated service platform — one that covers everything from infrastructure design to the deployment and operation of AI Contact Centers (AICC). The combination of AI technology and NI capabilities consolidates what was previously a fragmented, two-track structure for managing infrastructure and solutions, enabling clients to build AICC environments faster and at lower operational cost.

Alongside its business expansion, RAPEECH has also gained recognition for its R&D achievements. The company was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Scale-up TIPS program in the second half of 2025, laying the groundwork for further development of LLM-based AI service technologies. Its flagship product, ConvAI, has been designated both an innovative product and a superior procurement item by the Public Procurement Service, positioning RAPEECH for stronger inroads into the public sector market.

“This investment reaffirms RAPEECH’s high potential and enterprise value even in a challenging market environment,” said Kyunghoi Kim, CEO of RAPEECH. “We will channel the proceeds into advancing our next-generation solutions through the convergence of AI and NI, with the goal of becoming a leading domestic AI company that delivers the best AI experiences to our clients.”
