REVITA Raises Seed Funding to Expand Open-Field Smart Farm Solutions

REVITA, a South Korean agtech startup developing smart farm solutions for open-field agriculture, has secured seed investment from ZD Ventures (ZDVC).

Unlike conventional smart farming technology that requires dedicated greenhouse infrastructure, REVITA is bringing digital agriculture tools directly to open-field environments — where roughly 95% of all farming activity in South Korea takes place. The company has developed two core products: the Revita Tower, a pole-mounted smart farm monitoring device nicknamed the “smart scarecrow,” and Revita Link, a wireless irrigation and soil sensor module.

The Revita Tower can be installed simply by planting it in the ground, offering real-time monitoring of crop growth across wide field areas. It enables early detection of pest activity and abnormal weather conditions that affect yields, while also providing harvest volume forecasts. The Revita Link, installed alongside irrigation infrastructure, analyzes crop and soil conditions to automatically deliver optimal moisture levels. Together, the two solutions allow farmers to manage their entire operation remotely, without needing to visit the site in person — improving both efficiency and productivity.

Just four months after launch, REVITA had already deployed its services to young farmers across the country, establishing an early foothold in the market. The company has received recognition across several competitions and awards, including first place at the Asian Leadership Conference GSSC, a win in the solar-based smart farm and digital transformation solutions category at the 2026 Korea Industry Awards, and selection as a 2025 COMEUP Future Founder.

With this funding, REVITA plans to build “digital twin farms” — virtual replicas of cultivation sites powered by real-time crop growth data collected in the field. The company intends to expand into data-driven agricultural services, including crop disaster insurance platforms, while also sharpening the precision of its open-field smart farm solutions and pursuing entry into global agriculture markets.

“In the era of AI transformation, the industries that will continue to grow are those closely tied to fundamental human needs,” said Hagyeong Kim, CEO of ZD Ventures. “REVITA is driving structural innovation through the digital transformation of agriculture. We saw significant growth potential in the team and chose to come on board as their first institutional investor.”
