OPN, a Korean startup operating the proptech service ‘OpenDoctor,’ which specializes in real estate brokerage for medical clinics, has secured pre-Series A funding. The investment round included participation from existing investors such as BA Partners and DWPH. With this new funding, OPNplans to focus on enhancing its service offerings.

OpenDoctor addresses challenges in the medical real estate market by providing clinic-specific real estate listings, specialized brokerage services, and insights into medical commercial areas. The platform digitizes real estate information that clinics can contract and trains certified brokers specialized in different medical fields to offer tailored services. Additionally, OpenDoctor enhances its commercial area data through partnerships with financial institutions.

Doctors using OpenDoctor can find available real estate that matches their desired criteria and utilize the platform’s unique big data analysis of commercial areas to assess the success potential by specialty. As a result, doctors who have signed real estate contracts through OpenDoctor are able to decide on a location within an average of three months.

For landlords, in a market where securing tenants for commercial spaces is challenging, OpenDoctor’s ability to connect them with doctors looking to open clinics has quickly gained traction. According to OPN, large corporations and asset management firms are also actively collaborating with OpenDoctor to secure clinic tenants for their properties.
