Nomadher Lands KRW 1 Billion to Grow Global Female Traveler Platform and Community

Nomadher, a global platform for female travelers, secured a Pre-Series A investment of KRW 1 billion (approximately USD 750,000). NBH Capital, CNTTech, and Kosnet Technology Investment participated in this round of funding, with plans to raise additional capital from venture capital firms in Singapore and Europe in the near future. In August, Nomadher was selected for the TIPS program and, after winning first place in the Korea Tourism Organization’s Global Tourism Challenge, secured over KRW 1.7 billion (around USD 1.27 million) in funding.

The funds will be used to enhance business development and refine monetization models centered around its global community. Kim Hyo-jeong, CEO of Nomadher, stated, “Community-based services hold a value that large corporations, despite their technological and financial power, cannot replicate over time. We will focus on growing our community and building partnerships based on our 200,000 verified female travelers.”

Nomadher plans to expand its community by hosting a global female traveler festival, ‘She Can Travel,’ in the second half of the year, and by enhancing its marketplace where female travelers can purchase and recommend programs tailored to their needs. Founded in 2019, Nomadher is a real-name-based community platform for female travelers, helping women find safe accommodation and travel companions. The platform’s primary customer base currently includes female travelers from North America and Western Europe, with Seoul, Tokyo, and Bali being popular destinations.

Nomadher is dedicated to supporting safe travel for women worldwide and intends to leverage travel trend data to develop new business models. In 2023, the company won first place in UNWTO’s Awake Tourism Challenge and successfully participated in a program at the Tourism Management School in Switzerland. Additionally, a documentary is planned for release on Google Play in 2024.

CEO Kim Hyo-jung gained significant attention in 2023 for her lectures at the Dior headquarters in France and UNESCO. In 2024, she was recognized as one of the top 10 global tourism CEOs by Accor and Havas.
