WorkersHigh Secures $2.5M to Transform Retail with AI and Data Tech

WorkersHigh, a Korean retail tech startup, has secured an investment of KRW 3.3 billion (approximately $2.5 million) in the second round of its Pre-Series A funding. CJ Investment, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), Korean Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT), and Infobank participated in this round. With this, the total funding of Worker’s High now exceeds KRW 5.5 billion (about $4.2 million).

WorkersHigh is focused on transforming the food and beverage market by establishing ultra-proximity stores in locations closest to consumers. The company leverages AI and data analysis to create customized stores. It was spun off as an independent company in 2021 after being selected for Lotte Chilsung Beverage’s in-house venture program.

Currently, WorkersHigh has more than 100 clients, including the top five domestic companies, global corporations, and luxury hotels, and manages around 200 retail spaces.

With this new investment, Worker’s High plans to take a leadership role in the data-driven spatial retail market by enhancing its existing services, developing new technologies, and expanding into the retail media business.

Kim Chung-hee, CEO of WorkersHigh, commented, “It’s a great honor to have our business recognized and to secure investment from industry leaders like Lotte and CJ, key players in the domestic food and distribution sector.” He added, “This investment will allow us to further advance our spatial retail technology and deliver a unique user experience, strengthening our competitiveness in the market.”
