ABETTER Secures Pre-Series A Funding to Enhance E-commerce Solutions
ABETTER, a Korea-based e-commerce solution firm, has secured a KRW 1 billion pre-Series A investment from Capstone Partners.
Established in 2022, ABETTER has developed DISTER, an AI data analysis platform tailored for optimizing sales on Coupang. The company also develops marketing solutions to support sales on platforms such as Coupang and Amazon.
Despite the e-commerce market’s overall slowdown, Capstone Partners was attracted to ABETTER’s robust data-driven technology and stable revenue model. They particularly valued the potential of the company’s AI-based sales optimization solutions at a time when improving profitability on e-commerce platforms is increasingly critical. The investment decision was also influenced by ABETTER’s potential for global expansion, especially in the K-beauty sector, and its prospects as a comprehensive e-commerce platform.
In just two years, ABETTER has seen remarkable growth. The company’s transaction volume increased from KRW 4.9 billion in 2022 to KRW 27.2 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach KRW 50 billion in 2024.
ABETTER’s success is driven by its unique sales strategies. Collaborating with approximately 40 companies and managing over 800 products, the company has excelled by identifying niche markets through data analysis and implementing effective marketing strategies. This approach has established it as a top seller in Coupang’s Rocket division and solidified its revenue structure.
CEO Byung-jun Kim of ABETTER stated, “This investment will enable us to develop an AI-based automation system and accelerate our global market expansion. Next year, we plan to expand our operations on Amazon and enhance our shopping platform, which offers significant consumer benefits.”
