Mobileight, a South Korean agtech startup specializing in autonomous multi-robot platforms for agriculture, has secured seed funding from the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME).
Mobileight focuses on delivering sustainable agricultural solutions by leveraging its expertise in electric powertrain development. Its flagship product, the autonomous multi-robot platform “ILRO,” integrates advanced technologies into farming to create more efficient and sustainable agricultural practices.
ILRO combines agtech and AI-powered autonomous driving with agricultural transport vehicles. It follows workers at a set distance during harvest operations and automatically stops upon detecting obstacles. This technology simplifies the operation of agricultural machinery, significantly improves work efficiency and productivity, and offers a practical solution to labor shortages caused by an aging population and a declining agricultural workforce.
ILRO is also a versatile robotic platform developed using Mobileight’s proprietary technology. It can be equipped with interchangeable attachments for tasks such as pesticide spraying, fertilizing, and weeding. This adaptability allows it to be used throughout the entire agricultural cycle, delivering high operational efficiency.
Mobileight is currently conducting product trials and performance evaluations with orchard farmers as part of its efforts to bring ILRO to market.
Seokwon Ryu, CEO of Mobileight, said, “This investment from KOSME is a meaningful recognition of Mobileight’s growth potential and technological expertise. With this funding, we plan to accelerate our technology development and focus on attracting top talent to drive our expansion.”
