Brain Ventures, a South Korean startup specializing in AI natural language processing, has successfully secured seed funding from CNTTech, KingoSpring, and Hoseo University.

Established in May 2020 by Dr. Won-Hoe Kim, a linguistics Ph.D., Brain Ventures offers diverse AI-powered services, including automated OCR for webtoons, multilingual translation, video content auto-translation, subjective assessment scoring, and product review analysis.
Dr. Won-Hoe Kim, CEO of Brain Ventures, commented, “We are thrilled that this seed investment acknowledges both our growth potential and technological expertise. With this support, we will accelerate our R&D efforts and pursue healthy, sustainable growth.”
From its early days, Brain Ventures has stood out for its strong technical capabilities, earning recognition in several government and industry programs, including the Early Startup Package by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the SME Technology Development Support Program (First Step of Didimdol), the AI Data Construction Project by the National Information Society Agency, the LINC 3.0 initiative by the Ministry of Education, and the SME Digital Collaboration Project with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.
